This is your first job interview or maybe your umpteenth one! But you still have the fear of answering that one question. There are some questions that every interviewer asks at job interviews and it is very important to be well-prepared to answer it.
Naukrigulf conducted a poll and asked its readers-
Which interview question do you fear the most?
1. What’s your biggest weakness?
2. Where do you see yourself in five years?
3. Why do you think you would be a good fit for our company?
The NG Career café poll outcome revealed some of the interview fear of job hunters. When it comes to talking about the biggest weakness, many job seekers still dread this question. Out of the total votes received, 41% jobseekers are still not comfortable to answer this one.
Another classic question asked at job interviews – Why do you think you would be a good fit for our company?-This received 38% votes by NG readers making it another question they would love to skip.
Many interviews also see jobseekers facing this one- Where do you see yourself in five years? 21% of NG readers find this one difficult to answer.
Random questions are part of job interviews and depending on the company culture and goals, interviewers ask questions. You can rehearse commonly asked questions, but when some oddball stuff comes your way, think before answering. Answer the questions focusing on your skills and qualifications. To be successful in a job interview, its takes practice, research and persistence.
The NG Careercafe poll was conducted from August 2013 to June 2014.
