Being Absent or Late – Try not to call-in sick when in the probation period. Also report to the office on time for at least one month so that you come across as a sincere employee. Coming late to work is an indication that you are not serious about your career.

Abusing Company Policy – Remember that in your initial months at work you are going to be closely monitored. Working in a good organization may have its set of perks and privileges like shuttle service, Wi-Fi connectivity, free beverages, etc. but these must not be overused and abused. For instance, if you use the internet connection for personal use you should do so in moderation. You don’t want to be caught pushing your privileges.

Missing Out on Company Activities – Team building is an important step towards not only increasing your interaction, but also towards the growth of the company. Activities like these help you learn more about your co-workers and present rare opportunities to expand you horizon. Missing out on them may imply that you are not interested in mingling and are callous about the special events conducted by your company.
